merge5/osr5-win98 install woes
The PB boots fine with its SCSI docking adaptor and cable and displays the scrolling icon with the two black arrows. The Performa then boots and the drive of the PB is shown on the desktop. Whenever I try to copy files to onto the Powerbook, its arrows correctly show disk activity, but it doesn't stop.

Video label woes
On my original winXP installation the TV-out has been working fine ( apart from the usual 'black box' around the picture). uninstalled the 28.80 drivers and went back to 28.32 but it hasnt cured the problem - I cant get the DVD to output to the TV independently, the TV just clones whatever I do on the desktop.

Once, I swear, I got a CGA pallette - purple, black, white and green! I thought it might be the desktop color pallette (odd, because MW2 3dfx wants a GLIDE screen all it's own) so I bumped it down to 256 colors. No dice. The colors were DIFFERENT but still not correct. Mechwarrior 2 3dfx Woes...
Sometimes it freezes while it's still showing the Active desktop. Other times it freezes when the screen is black at some point just before it would have turned off the power. Of course, scandisk is the most frequently run program on the laptop. You'll be needing a new hard-drive soon. Chris.
